Asymptomatic Internal Carotid Aneurysm
An aneurysm arising from internal carotid artery and being very close to anterior choroidal artery aneurysm was clipped, without damage to parent artery and arounding structures.
An intracranial aneurysm arising from posterior communicating artery instead of internal carotid artery was clipped by using microsurgical techniques via transpterional approach. The operation was relatively difficult to be performed because of some reasons. These included old age of the patient, unusual largement of the pcoa and bleeding from the aneurysm. After temporary blocking the internal coratid artery, the aneurysm was burned and clipped carefully, without damaging to the pcoa.
